Welcome to Love uMama Lactation Consultants
Breastfeeding doesn’t always come naturally — and you don’t have to figure it out alone.
At LoveuMama, we provide compassionate, evidence-based lactation support to help mothers and babies find their way to a feeding journey that feels right for them.
Who we are
Supporting mothers. Empowering families.
Whether you are preparing to breastfeed, navigating the early days with your newborn, experiencing breastfeeding challenges, or simply want reassurance that things are going well, we are here to meet you where you are.
We believe there is no single “right” breastfeeding journey. Our approach is centred around evidence-based care, practical support and your individual goals, while always keeping both mother and baby at the heart of what we do.
How our services can assist you:
Every breastfeeding journey is different.
Our lactation consultations provide personalised, evidence-based support for mothers and babies at every stage — from pregnancy preparation and the first days after birth to ongoing breastfeeding challenges and returning to work.
We strive for personalized lactation support in our practice.
We can support you with concerns such as:
- Breastfeeding preparation and antenatal support
- Latching and positioning
- Painful breastfeeding and nipple pain
- Concerns about milk supply
- Engorgement and blocked ducts
- Oversupply and fast let-down
- Pumping and expressing
- Combination feeding
- Introducing bottles
- Returning to work while breastfeeding
- Breastfeeding multiples
- Weaning and transitioning from breastfeeding
- Introducing solids
- Feeding challenges and building confidence
- Premature or medically complex babies
Our goal is not to tell you how you should feed your baby, but to provide the knowledge, practical skills and support you need to achieve your feeding goals.
Rentals
Hospital-Grade Breast Pump Rental
The right breast pump can be an invaluable part of your feeding journey, particularly
when establishing or protecting milk supply, expressing for your baby, or navigating
temporary feeding challenges.
We offer a range of hospital-grade breast pumps for rental, with personalised
guidance on how to use your chosen pump effectively and comfortably.
Every rental includes an individual hygiene kit, and all pumps are thoroughly cleaned
and sterilised before being provided to the next client.
Whether you need a pump to support milk supply, express for your baby, build a freezer
stash, or prepare for returning to work, we can help you choose and use the equipment
that best suits your needs.
Phototherapy Bed Rental
When a newborn develops jaundice, appropriate monitoring and treatment can be an
important part of their early care.
We offer phototherapy bed rentals to support the management of newborn
jaundice, allowing treatment to continue in the comfort of your own home where
appropriate and when recommended as part of your baby's care plan.
Our team can provide guidance on the practical use of the equipment, while working
alongside your baby's healthcare provider to ensure that your baby receives appropriate
monitoring and follow-up.
Why breastfeeding support matters
You don't have to struggle before asking for help.
Feel confident, make informed decisiona and reach your feeding goals.
Breastfeeding can be a beautiful experience, but it can also come with uncertainty, discomfort and unexpected challenges.
Professional support can help you understand what is happening, identify potential difficulties early and develop a practical plan that works for you and your baby.
A lactation consultation allows us to assess your baby’s feeding, listen to your concerns and provide personalised, evidence-based guidance — rather than offering a one-size fits-all solution.
With the right support, you can feel more confident, make informed decisions and work towards the feeding goals that matter to you.
Because asking for help isn’t a sign that you’re failing — it’s a step towards feeling more confident in your journey.
Breastfeeding doesn’t always come naturally, it is a skill that both you and your baby should learn.
Testimonials
What our happy clients say about us.
I had such a lovely experience with their online antenatal care course. I really appreciated how convenient it was to be able to do the course online, while still getting so much valuable and practical information. The advice and guidance I received was incredibly helpful and gave me a lot more confidence going into motherhood. You can really tell that they are knowledgeable and experienced in what they do, and I always felt that I was getting trustworthy and well-informed advice. What I appreciated most was how friendly, kind and approachable they were. They were always willing to help and answer my questions, which made the whole experience feel very supportive and reassuring. I’m really grateful for all the guidance and support I received and would happily recommend their services to any expecting or new mom.
I am so incredibly grateful for the support and guidance I received from Sr Nadia Jacobs during my breastfeeding journey with my second son. From the very beginning, you were so kind, patient and encouraging. Breastfeeding can be such an emotional and overwhelming journey, and even though it was my second time having to breast feed a baby I still had doubts and having someone who truly understands, listens and guides you without judgement made such a difference. Thank you for being such a wonderful support system in my breastfeeding journey! I will always be grateful!
Wonderful experience! She was kind, patient, and made me feel completely at ease. She ensured I had reading material in advance and assisted with any questions promptly. Although my milk production was non-existent. Her guidance and encouragement gave me the confidence I needed during my breastfeeding journey. I’m so grateful for her support (even after hours) and would highly recommend her to any mom needing a little guidance and reassurance.
